Until August 31, the National Museum of Nature and Ethnography presents the exhibition of the folk master Victor Pelin “Wood, Soul, Passion – the Life of Creation”, timed to coincide with his 75th anniversary.

The NextGENERATION competition of young designers, held in Chisinau with the support of ZIPHOUSE, is just one of them. This year Moldova celebrates the 80th anniversary of the legendary State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble “JOC”. Several large-scale events are planned for the festive date, the first concert of the ensemble will be held on May 24 in the Green Theater.

Since April, cinemas in Chisinau have been showing the feature film “Turceanca”, produced by the creative association BessarabKino. On April 16, the Pushkin House-Museum opened the exhibition “The Heart of Will Begs” – illustrations to Pushkin’s poem “Gypsies” by the master of book graphics and calligraphy, engraver Ilya Trofimovich Bogdesko (1923-2010).

On April 12 and 13, the State Russian Drama Theater named after A. P. Chekhov hosted the premiere of the play “The Process” based on the novel by F. Kafka, directed by Oleg Mardar. The performance offered the audience a new format – a synthesis of plasticity, choreography, acrobatics and dramatic art.

On April 3, the Organ Hall hosted a concert of soprano Natalia Roman (Moldova-Italy) in duet with baritone Vladimir Dragos. Arias and duets from operas and operettas by G. Puccini, G. Verdi, F. Lehar and other composers were performed.
