Who will be affected by the relaxation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifies that the simplification of the procedure applies to drivers of passenger cars with category B for driving cars with up to 9 seats and a maximum authorized total weight of 3.5 tons.
However, the matter concerns only licenses issued by the Moldovan authorities after January 1, 2020 and complying with the EU standards.
For this measure to become possible, France must complete the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the agreement on the mutual exchange of driving licenses signed between the two states.
