Moldova received funding this year from the World Bank Group for the project “Supporting Public Procurement Efficiency and Value for Money in Moldova” through the Moldova – Growth, Sustainability and Opportunities Multilateral Trust Fund.
To manage the project’s resources (the total grant budget is about US$3.6 million), recruitment is open for specialists to handle the disbursement of funds to support these reforms, including digitalization and centralization of public procurement.
The main vacancies include planning, monitoring and reporting on the use of project funds, bookkeeping, preparation of financial reports for the WB and Moldovan authorities, and assistance with external audit.
The project implementer is the State Institution “Office for External Assistance Program Management” acting as the WB project implementation unit. The active phase of the project covers the period from the middle of this year until the end of 2026 (with the possibility of extension depending on the results and needs of the project).
The launch of the procurement procedure for the development of the new information system also includes a request for proposals for a complete software upgrade, starting with the development and up to the implementation of a modern e-procurement system integrated with the systems of the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Service, as well as with state electronic services.
