The EBRD is still studying the project, reports Profit.ro. The publication specifies that the PV park in Pilu Granichery in Arad County, near the Hungarian border, will have a total installed capacity of almost 1,240 MW DC (maximum capacity at panel level), which is 200 MW more than the originally announced capacity.
The future PV park will be located on 1,064 hectares of land previously used for agricultural crops. Resolv Energy has leased the land on a long-term basis. The project includes ground-mounted PV panels, inverter stations, an internal medium voltage grid, access roads, a 110/400 kV substation and a 3.5-3.6 km long 400 kV underground cable connecting to the national transmission system.
Resolv Energy was launched in 2022 by sustainable infrastructure investment fund Actis with an initial investment of €500 million. In the fall, Mubadala Investment Company, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund with $300 billion in assets under management, entered into a joint venture agreement with Actis to jointly control Resolv Energy.
