This exhibition is one of the most important regional forums dedicated to renewable energy, environmental infrastructure and solutions for smart cities. The event gathered more than 750 experts and representatives of international brands from the energy and environmental sector.
The Moldovan delegation participated in the Conference of Mayors from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, organized by the Association of Romanian Municipalities, the Convention of Mayors for Energy and Climate and the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova. The issues discussed were the provision of public services in accordance with European standards, as well as access to European funds. The forum participants also visited the integrated waste management system in the 3rd sector of Bucharest municipality, where the European Waste Technology team presented modern technologies of urban waste collection and management.
The Mayor of Drochia, Nina Cereteu, emphasized that the European funds are important for the development of local communities. “For local authorities in the Republic of Moldova, European funds are no longer an opportunity, but a necessity. Local budgets are limited and investments in infrastructure, energy and public services increasingly depend on these funds”.
