The APP forum will be attended by representatives of the Moldovan government, as well as ministers of agriculture from the European Union member states, representatives of European institutions, international and national financial structures, private investors, business associations, civil society and development partners, the press release of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry said.
The event will analyze investment opportunities in agro-food value-added chains, available financing instruments, public-private partnerships, as well as measures needed to increase the export of Moldovan products to the European market.
The forum will include plenary sessions, thematic seminars and a mini-exhibition area dedicated to local agro-food products. Participants will be invited to visit the stands during the day and talk to producers to explore investment and export opportunities.
The forum will feature sessions structured around three cross-cutting areas of agricultural modernization: digitalization, sustainable management of natural resources and organic production.
What is the Partnership Platform
The Agri-Food Partnership Platform was launched in October 2023 by the Republic of Moldova and seven European Union Member States, with the support of FAO, with the aim of strengthening policy and technical dialogue and fostering economic cooperation in the agri-food sector.
Since its launch, APP has organized two high-level meetings and an investment forum held in January 2024 in the framework of the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture in Berlin.
APP’s first investment forum brought together German companies interested in investing in Moldova’s fruit, wine and sugar sectors. These companies were invited to interact directly with Moldovan producers to explore potential investment opportunities.
