The project is financed under the state aid scheme. The funds received can cover up to 60% of the investment cost.

Parameters of the state aid “scheme”
The Regional Investment Support Program provides assistance to manufacturing enterprises through partial income tax exemption and non-refundable grants to stimulate economic development and attract investments in developing regions of Moldova.
The total budget of the program for supporting enterprises in the processing industry amounts to 2 billion lei, of which 1.5 billion lei is allocated for tax exemptions and 0.5 billion lei for non-refundable grants. Enterprises eligible for the program can invest in the modernization of production processes, expansion of existing capacities or creation of new production units, thus contributing to the competitiveness and development of the local economy.
As Logos Press previously reported, state aid provided for investment projects consists of a grant (25%) and partial exemption from income tax (75%). At the same time, the maximum amount of support should not exceed 20% of the program budget.
Conditions for participation in the program
According to the estimates of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, about 150 enterprises may become beneficiaries of state aid under the “scheme”.
Agreements on regional state aid can be signed until December 31, 2034, as far as the budget of the “scheme” allows, and the money is paid until December 31, 2036.
According to the legislation, large and medium-sized enterprises in the regions can receive reimbursement of up to 60% of investments, while small enterprises – up to 75%. And companies based in Chisinau – up to 50% and 60%, respectively.
Before signing the Agreement on granting regional state aid, the enterprise must ensure a financial contribution of at least 25%.
