
The FCA program provides agricultural producers with funds for re-lending in Moldovan lei under favorable conditions – the rate of 5.1% per annum for final beneficiaries. As of the end of March 2026, the financial benefit of these resources compared to the average interest rates in the banking sector amounted to an average of 6.87 percentage points, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA).
The total amount of resources re-credited under the program is 382.64 million lei, of which 36.92 million lei were allocated in March 2026. Meanwhile, the grant component related to the loans disbursed amounts to LE 44.21 million. Last month, farmers received grants worth over 6 million lei.
Money from FCA: for what and where
Of the total allocated resources, 67.21% were directed to the so-called support of operators of conventional (traditional, transitional) agriculture (the share of grants is 5%). 10.87% of the funds were directed to the segment of conservative (conservation) agriculture (the grant component is 15%). The post-harvest sector received 21.93% of funding (30%).
Of the total number of approved projects, 296 were for financing investments in equipment for conventional agriculture, 60 for conservative agriculture and 52 for post-harvest infrastructure.
Farmers from all regions of the country benefited from FCA funds, but the greatest activity was shown by farmers from the north of Moldova – 48.3% of the total number of projects (center – 34.1%, south – 17.6%).
To continue financing the respective projects in 2026, 183.16 million lei in credits and 15.75 million lei in loans are available under the FCA program.
