
This was announced during a new round of political consultations between Moldova and Estonia, held in Chisinau.
According to a press release of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, the Estonian support is part of a broader program of cooperation and strengthening of Moldova’s European course.
Foreign Ministry State Secretary Karolina Perebinos expressed gratitude for the inclusion of Moldova among the priority countries of the Estonian development assistance. She also praised the positive impact of the projects implemented through the Estonian agencies ESTDEV and eGA on strengthening the resilience and enhancing the ability to respond to security challenges.
During the consultations, the sides welcomed the opening of the Estonian embassy in Chisinau, scheduled for this year, which will contribute to the development of bilateral relations, expansion of cooperation in defense, trade, promotion of European integration and implementation of reforms.
The agenda of the talks also included multilateral cooperation issues, including within the Council of Europe and other international organizations, including Estonia’s participation in a ministerial session of the Council of Europe, due in Chisinau in May. The sides also exchanged views on the Transnistrian settlement and the country’s reintegration process.
