The government today approved a decision to launch negotiations and sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Moldova’s Ministry of Education and Research and India’s Ministry of Education to strengthen bilateral relations and promote cooperation in the field of higher education.
The government has approved the national program “Independence That Unites Us: Moldova-35,” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Moldova’s independence. A budget of up to 10 million lei has been allocated for the organization of the cultural and artistic program on August 27, which will cover all expenses related to the event.
Health Minister Alexandru Gasnash stated that the new information system for monitoring drug inventories will enable the government to identify the risks of shortages in advance and take measures before drug shortages affect patients. The government has approved the concept for the system—the first national platform that will provide centralized oversight of drug availability throughout the country.
Employers participating in the dual education system will be reimbursed for half of the costs of training students. The government has approved a corresponding state support mechanism for companies that invest in vocational training for young people.

The corresponding decision was approved today, July 29, at a government meeting.

International passports and driver’s licenses will be issued at new rates, while the cost of certain permits for businesses in the tourism sector will decrease. According to officials at the Agency for Public Services (ASP), the changes are necessary to cover rising production and logistics costs.
The overall pass rate for the national exam to obtain a secondary school diploma in 2026 reached 81.9%, which is higher than the 2025 rate (79.17%). A total of 18,437 candidates were admitted to the exam, of whom 15,100 passed it successfully.
