    The government today approved a decision to launch negotiations and sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Moldova’s Ministry of Education and Research and India’s Ministry of Education to strengthen bilateral relations and promote cooperation in the field of higher education.

    Health Minister Alexandru Gasnash stated that the new information system for monitoring drug inventories will enable the government to identify the risks of shortages in advance and take measures before drug shortages affect patients.     Parliament approved, on first reading, an increase in the maximum size of the Equality Council’s administrative staff by three positions—bringing the total to 36 employees. Implementing this measure will require additional expenditures of approximately 400,000 lei per year. The funds are planned to be allocated from the institution’s annual budget to support the new positions created in connection with the expansion of the Council’s powers, as provided for by law.

    The National Archives Agency (NAA) has begun the process of creating its own database containing copies of historical documents from Collection No. 211, “Parish Registers of Bessarabia,” and Collection No. 134, “Treasury of the Bessarabian Governorate.” The documents will be digitized and posted on the online research platform doc.arhiva.gov.md, where they will be available to users in Moldova and abroad by the end of 2026.
