“At the moment, the first phase of construction with a capacity of 50 MW has been financed and construction has already started. This is a pilot stage, after the realization of which the scale of the project will be multiplied. Our own generation allows us to set the electricity tariff. In essence, we are not just building another mining hub in Russia. On the one hand, Algoritm is creating a modern computing infrastructure, and on the other hand, it is increasing domestic gas consumption in the country. Both of them ultimately work for the formation of Russia’s image as one of the world’s largest data centers, ” RBC quotes Pavel Gudimov, Algoritm’s managing partner, as saying.
He also emphasized that the project interested not only Russian investors and funds, but also foreign partners from China, India, Iran and other countries. Therefore, the company is already planning to erect the second stage of the project.
From the technical details of the operation of the mining hub we know about the declared indicator of the level of capacity availability of 100%. Placement is planned in modular data processing centers (MDPCs) designed to work in extreme climatic conditions.
