The General Directorate for the Administration of Government Buildings has announced a public procurement procedure for the work of replacing old windows with new ones.

According to the procurement documents, it is envisaged to install windows made of PVC profile with five chambers, with energy-saving Low-E double-glazed windows, as well as with the use of aluminum elements.

The documentation sets a warranty period of 5 years for the work performed and 10 years for the double-glazed windows.

At the same time, the customer indicates that the building belongs to the objects with a special access regime. The works will be carried out under conditions regulated by the legislation on state secrets, in this regard, economic operators participating in the procurement procedure are subject to verification and the procedure of admission to restricted information.

The submission of offers is scheduled for the period from February 2 to February 17, 2026.

The objective of the project is to improve energy efficiency and ensure proper technical condition of the administrative building of the Government.

Earlier, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Cristina Peretiaticu, stated that buildings constructed during the Soviet period are energy inefficient and “are responsible for about 50% or more of energy losses”. And the most inefficient, allegedly, is the Moldovan government building.
