Five-star hotels offer tourists about 300 rooms, four-star hotels – more than 1.1 thousand. In total in Moldova there are 3.1 thousand rooms in hotels and 740 – in tourist complexes.
The study showed that about 74% of the hotel sector is concentrated in the municipality of Chisinau. Particular demand is registered near multifunctional centers such as Arena Chișinău.
Notable growth
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2025, tourism agencies provided services to more than 600 thousand tourists, an increase of almost 9% compared to 2024. Both the number of foreigners who visited Moldova and the number of compatriots who spent their vacations in the homeland increased.
Last year, our country was visited by more than 90 thousand tourists, which is 34% more than the year before. Most of them spent no more than a day in the country.
At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in hotels, resorts and villas reached 525.1 thousand people, or 10% more than in 2024.
