Seed producers will be supported by grants
Financial support is provided to partner projects of agricultural producers for the cultivation, processing and marketing of corn, sorghum, industrial hemp and cover crops – siderats. Priority will be given to projects focused on integrated value-added systems, organic farming and the use of varieties adapted to Moldova’s increasingly harsh climatic conditions.
The total budget of this “grant line” is 250 thousand euros. Within its framework, up to five projects are planned to be funded on a competitive basis, of which at least two should be developed by associated small and medium-sized agricultural producers.
The call for applications for these grants is organized within the framework of the initiative “Team Europe – Sustainable Agrifood Systems” with the financial support of the European Union and the Czech Republic. The project with a total budget of €8.5 million is implemented by the Czech Development Agency and the PL Solidarity Fund in Moldova, in cooperation with the Latvian Rural Counseling and Training Center.
The deadline for applications is March 16, 2026.
