At the same time, the production volumes of both car companies decreased, hotnews.ro. specifies, but Dacia’s decline is slightly greater than Ford’s.
The publication recalls that in 2023, Dacia and Ford plants produced a total of 513,000 cars, and in 2024 they reached a record of 560,102 cars.
Of the total number of cars produced in Romania’s automobile plants, 54% were Dacia cars produced in Mioveni and 46% were Ford cars, which are produced at the Otosan plant in Craiova.
According to ACAROM (Romanian Association of Automobile Manufacturers), in the last month of 2025, the two plants produced about 40,000 cars, of which approximately 22,000 were Dacia cars and 18,000 were Ford cars.
