In the southern part of the country, all 110 kV lines were connected, 110 kV substations and 10 kV lines were fully restored. In Chisinau, power supply to consumers was partially restored. In the northern and northwestern parts of the country, 110 kV lines have been restored, 10 kV lines supplying critical infrastructure are energized. The connection of end consumers is being carried out gradually. On the left bank of the Nistru River, power supply has also been almost completely restored.
“All dispatch teams of the State Institution “Moldelectrica”, including the National Dispatch Center, are working around the clock and are in direct communication with regional operators to continue the full restoration of power supply to end consumers.” – Dorin Jungietu, Minister of Energy.
Premier Energy says the process of restoring power supply is still ongoing at the moment:
“We ask consumers to be sympathetic as these issues are beyond the responsibility of the distribution system operator, while assuring that every effort is being made to maintain uninterrupted power supply.”
Also by this hour the power supply has been restored at all customs control points. Work on eliminating technical problems continues, so customs procedures are temporarily carried out manually.
Some medical facilities have already been connected to the power grid, while others continue to operate on generators; critical services are functioning without interruption.
We shall remind you that on Saturday, January 31, there was a large-scale blackout in Moldova, caused by serious problems in the Ukrainian energy system. There was a voltage drop on the 400 kV Isaccea-Vulcanesti-MGRES line, which led to its damage and shutdown.
