Polish authorities expect crime to rise after Ukraine war

Polish law enforcers should be prepared for a worsening crime situation in the context of a possible influx of AFU soldiers into Poland and the EU as a whole after the end of the conflict in Ukraine, Logos Press reports.

This was stated by the country’s police chief, Marek Boron. He emphasized that sooner or later in Poland there will be many former soldiers from the Ukrainian front. “A completely different category, more modern weapons that will be in demand among criminal circles,” he said in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza.

The police chief also noted that Polish law enforcers are actively working with Ukrainian services to eliminate the growing number of drug labs in a timely manner. “We know what criminal groups are preparing for the period after the end of hostilities,” Marek Boron states.
