These and other data are contained in the traditional scrapbook, which contains information on parliamentary activities over four years.
Unlike in previous years, the current edition was published in only one language. “We managed to become the generation that did justice to the Romanian language – the language we speak. It is the Romanian language and it is enshrined in the Constitution,” Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu wrote in the preamble to the publication.
According to the speaker, the four years of the mandate were not easy:
“In some situations we chose not the best solutions, we did not move at the pace we would have liked, but each time we had the strength to recognize it, come back and improve the situation”
But the most important thing, he said, is that during this time “we managed to bring Moldova on the path of joining the European family” and that we “put Moldova on the world map”.
The album of the XI Parliament contains more than 200 pages of information and photos. The album contains data on the formation of the Parliament, the work of the Permanent Bureau, commissions, factions, friendship groups and international delegations. There are biographies of MPs and information on the international activities of the Parliament and parliamentary diplomacy.
The XI Parliament was formed as a result of early parliamentary elections on July 11, 2021, organized after the dissolution of the previous Parliament by the decree of President Maia Sandu of April 28, 2021. This was the tenth parliamentary election and the fifth early election since Moldova’s independence.
