In order to ensure balance in the distribution of financial support at the national level, disbursements will be made on a territorial basis. Namely: 30% of the state program funds will be allocated to projects submitted by residents of Chisinau municipality, and 70% to families from other regions of Moldova.
The new edition of the program will be launched in about two weeks. The National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED) reported on the preparations for the competition for families who want to invest in more energy efficient and comfortable housing.
Grants will be available to owners of registered detached dwellings or homes under construction. Applications for the program will be submitted exclusively online through the http://feerm.md platform.
The Green House Program is implemented by CNED and the Ministry of Energy. It includes support for investments in the modernization and energy efficiency of residential buildings by insulating exterior walls, roof and basement, replacing exterior finishes with energy efficient finishes, installing biomass boilers, heat pumps or solar collectors, heat-saving ventilation systems, charging stations for 100% electric vehicles, and photovoltaic panels with batteries (after thermal insulation).
It was launched last summer and is financed through the Fund for Energy Efficiency in the Residential Sector in Moldova (FEERM). It operates and is replenished with financial support from the European Union.
