According to the country’s defense ministry, the funds are intended to equip the British armed forces with new equipment, modernize vehicles, communication systems and defense against drones.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the deployment of foreign troops and military facilities in Ukraine would be regarded by Russia as a direct threat to its security. Such units and facilities will be considered as legitimate combat targets by the Russian army.

We would like to point out that Kiev, Paris and London signed a declaration of intent at a meeting in Paris on 6 January, which, according to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, “creates a legal basis” for the deployment of British, French and other “partner” troops in Ukraine after the cease-fire.

The British cabinet chief also said that the UK and France would establish “military centers across Ukraine and “build secure facilities for the storage of weapons and military equipment” with the start of the cease-fire regime.

According to The Times, the UK and France plan to send up to 15,000 servicemen to Ukraine as a security guarantee after the peace agreement with Russia is concluded.
