The PSPA project, discussed today at a meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) management with the Forța Fermierilor asset, does not provide direct support measures for the grain and oilseed sector, a fact with which the specialized association strongly disagrees.
In this regard, it is worth mentioning that two years ago, the administrative council of Forța Fermierilor agreed in principle on the need to change the positioning of this organization in the associative field of non-governmental organizations of agro-industrial specialization. In particular, the new status of the association was approved at that time – to unite and protect the professional interests of grain and oilseed producers. Recently, after the renewal of the administrative board and the return of Alexandru Slusarius to the position of executive director, Forța Fermierilor started to appear under this full name in its actions.
In a conversation with Logos Press correspondent Alexandru Slusari said that, in addition to grain and oilseed specialization, Forța Fermierilor will focus on protecting the interests of micro, small and medium agricultural producers. In this respect, this organization is building on (and in certain aspects opposing) the Association of Producers and Exporters of Grains and Agricultural Products Agrocereale, the core of which is made up of agricultural holdings and trading companies.
Reimbursement of excise duties on diesel fuel – now and in the future
In dialogue with MAIA management, Forța Fermierilor has expressed the urgent need to introduce a support measure in the PSPA program in the form of reimbursement of excise duties on diesel fuel to farmers on a permanent basis from this year.
Recently, MAIA head Ludmila Catlabuga said that this may not become the norm until 2027.
