Farmers received the first tranche of spring subsidies
Most of this amount, almost 34 million lei was allocated for 38 applications submitted for subsidies in the form of post-investment payments. Of these, 15.34 million lei were approved as partial compensation for investments in livestock farms, 7.47 million lei – compensation for investments in production, processing or marketing infrastructure in crop production. A separate category of post-investment subsidies is for irrigation systems and equipment, 5.25 million lei.
Another 8.32 million lei was provided to farmers as an advance payment (first tranche) for 12 investment projects in the modernization of livestock breeding.
Almost 3 million lei were allocated to agribusiness entities to subsidize a share (70%) of insurance premiums.
