It is noted that the audit found that some AI functions use cloud services to perform tasks and transfer data outside the device. Following the analysis, the European Parliament decided to disable such features on the work devices of its members and employees.
In addition, MEPs were advised to apply similar measures on personal devices if they are used for work-related activities.
In 2023, the European Parliament already banned the use of the social network TikTok on employees’ work devices.
