Amendments to the Regulation on the procedure for the investigation of accidents at work will be considered at the next Government meeting. They will eliminate duplication of reporting and simplify the flow of relevant statistical data.
The amendments will come into force on January 1, 2027. This year, enterprises are given a transition period due to the complexity of the new regulations.
In particular, the regulations will include rules concerning not only the registration and recording of industrial accidents, but also the rules for storing coded data on them.
A form and a list of codes for filling it out will be approved.
The form will contain general variables (data on the victim, the company and the place of the accident) and variables relating to the causes and circumstances of the accident.
The list of codes will follow the methodology of the European Statistics of Industrial Accidents and will include the type of injury, the conditions under which it occurred, the severity of the accident measured in days of incapacity for work, etc.
The investigation reports on occupational accidents with temporary disability, which are filled out by the employer and the State Labor Inspectorate, will be combined into one form.
The current Act on the investigation of an industrial accident, which is drawn up by the inspectorate, will be abolished.
