This was announced by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu. According to him, the decision is necessary to prevent possible health risks for the population.
He noted that the river continues to be polluted with oil products, which keeps the risk of pollution spreading. Also, the level of pollutants in the northern part of the Dniester is exceeded.
The responsible institutions will continue monitoring the situation, will take measures in the affected areas, inform the population and provide the necessary recommendations.
