During 2025, ANSA significantly increased its food safety monitoring activities. A total of 2108 food samples were examined in laboratory conditions, 962 more than in 2024. Monitoring focused on both domestic and imported products.
Including the national pesticide residue monitoring program, 237 samples of domestic plant-based food products were tested, of which only four samples showed non-compliance (1.7%). Out of 356 samples of imported products, 34 samples (9.6%) failed to meet the standards.
Also, out of 1477 samples taken within the framework of enhanced (unscheduled) control at ANSA checkpoints at state border crossing points, 138 samples were found to be non-compliant with the norms.
Following the detection of food products with exceeded maximum permissible levels of pesticide residues, ANSA inspectors initiated unscheduled inspections of economic entities that committed violations. As a result, batches of products were seized and destroyed, and sanctions were imposed on market operators.
