ANSA relaxes control of Ukrainian milk

The corresponding order was issued by the ANSA management on February 23, 2026. Earlier, on January 15 of this year, the director of the agency, Radu Mustiata, ordered that milk and dairy products imported from Ukraine were placed in the regime of enhanced (100% of batches) control.

As noted in today’s ANSA press release, “after testing a significant number of samples of both bottled and packaged milk, the control over milk batches was reduced”.

At the same time, the agency recalls that imports of mixed fodder from Ukraine were temporarily suspended after confirmation of the presence of metronidazole in shipments detained at the border. In this connection, control over all consignments of milk and eggs or egg products from Ukraine was strengthened.

“We continue to liaise with Ukraine’s veterinary authorities to resume exports and to ensure food safety for all citizens,” ANSA said in a statement.
