ANRE disqualified 13 small power producers

The decision was made in accordance with paragraphs 56 and 57 of the Regulation approved by ANRE Decision No. 321/2024, which stipulates that in the event of failure to fulfill the obligations assumed during the status confirmation stage, the agency shall revoke the status of qualified small power producer by a reasoned decision.

After reviewing the identified situations, ANRE found that a number of qualified small producers, for which the status was confirmed in 2020, 2022 and 2023, failed to fulfill the established conditions, including: failing to build and put into operation power plants within the established timeframe, using equipment that does not comply with the legal requirements, or trading electricity under conditions different from those of the regulated renewable energy sales contract.

As a result of the revocation of the status, the total capacity excluded from the support program is 22,031 kW (22.03 MW).

At the same time, in accordance with the regulatory provisions, when the status is canceled, the contract performance guarantee deposited during the status confirmation stage is transferred to the state budget. The total value of the transferred guarantees amounts to 11,594,549 lei.
