Labor veterans and veterans of power structures can use a voucher for treatment once every three years, and persons with disabilities due to war – once every two years. To receive a voucher, an application must be submitted to the territorial subdivision of the National Social Insurance Fund (NSSF) at the place of residence or it must be done electronically through the state portal of services.

In addition, the state finances health resort treatment for insured persons. According to the state social insurance budget for 2026, 30 million lei is envisaged for this purpose. The vouchers are distributed among enterprises in proportion to the amount of social contributions they paid to the social insurance budget in the previous year. In organizations with a primary trade union structure, the vouchers are transferred through the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, and in other cases they can be obtained through the territorial branches of the NCSS.

In the first quarter of the current year, 2338 vouchers were purchased for veterans and insured persons in sanatoriums “Struguras” (Dubasari), “Bucuria-Sind” (Vadul-lui-Voda), “Nufarul Alb” (Cahul), “Codru” (Calarasi), “Nistru” (Camenca). The total amount for the first quarter is 25.9 million lei. Of these, 1,562 vouchers worth 18.6 million lei are meant for veterans.
