Forța Fermierilor speaks out in defense of ADMA

According to Forța Fermierilor’s press release, ADMA’s activities were particularly important for small and medium-sized farmers who do not have access to standard bank loans. The advantages of ADMA’s services for these categories of farmers included a zero VAT rate, minimal fees, no need to provide substantial collateral, and financial leasing opportunities.

In addition, the agency is focused on supporting digitalization of agriculture, alternative energy based on renewable resources, and other agro-technological innovations.

In a media report, Forța Fermierilor accused the authorities of “jeopardizing the survival of the national agriculture of the Republic of Moldova under the pretext of harmonization with the European legislation”. However, there is an example of a similar agency, the Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR), in Romania, which shows that such structures are in line with EU norms.

If the Parliament, in the process of amending the Law on Public Institutions (No. 16.14/2025), does not provide for the continuation of ADMA, Forța Fermierilor traditionally “reserves the right to organize mass protests throughout the country”.
