“Milsami” received a record amount of fines

The Disciplinary Commission of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) imposed fines of 135 thousand lei on Milsami for a number of gross violations during the Moldovan Cup final with Sheriff (1:2). Of these, 40 thousand lei is a fine for chanting by Milsami fans slogans with the use of foul language against referees and FMF. The amount of the fine is higher than the standard one (from 2,000 to 15,000 lei), as the violation was considered as a repeated one (during the season, the club from Orhei was already punished for the same violation).

The administrator of the Orhei sports complex, Avelin Tabarca, was considered as one of the main instigators of the aggression at the stadium in Tiraspol. According to the FMF executive body, he provoked the public into an uncontrolled reaction, showing disrespect towards the representatives of the Football Federation and the fans. The functionary was fined 50 thousand lei and suspended for 12 months from all competitions held under the auspices of the FMF.

Milsami manager Tudor Starchuk was fined 3 thousand lei for inappropriate behavior during the match. He is also suspended for three Moldovan Cup matches. The decision of the Disciplinary Commission of the FMF also affected a number of Milsami players: goalkeeper Emil Tymbur was fined 10 thousand lei and disqualified for four Cup matches, midfielder Abdul Said Razak Yoda received the same disqualification and a fine of 5 thousand lei. Kabamba striker Tumba Kalabatama was fined 2,000 lei for damaging the stadium (after leaving the pitch he hit the inner part of the tunnel under the stands) and disqualified for two Cup matches. “Milsami” is also obliged to repair the damage caused by its player.

Besides, Milsami and Sheriff were fined 25 thousand lei for the brawl, in which almost all the players and representatives of the technical staffs of the clubs took part at the end of the match.

The FMF was also interested in the match of the final round of the Super League, in which “Milsami” drew with “Sheriff” (0:0) and won the championship title. The Orhei-based club was fined 30,000 lei for the use of pyrotechnics by fans during the match and for chanting obscene expressions. Milsami was fined 10,000 lei for not following the instructions of the match delegate and showing unsportsmanlike attitude towards the FMF representative.

The total amount of fines for two matches (175 thousand lei) became a record in the last soccer season. At the end of April, “Milsami” received a large fine (100 thousand lei) for the behavior of its fans and the mass brawl that took place at the end of the match of the 6th round of the second part of the Super League with “Zimbru” (Chisinau).
