Within the framework of the national consumer information campaign “Consumer Rights are My Rights!” The European Consumer Protection Center in Moldova is actively working on providing consumers with information on virtual asset categories, investment rules, developing educational materials. For this purpose, among others, a digital tool, the Interactive Virtual Assistant, was created, which will help to protect virtual asset lovers from fraudulent schemes.
The impressive success of such cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL) and others, excites the imagination not only of the Moldovan population, but also of fraudsters of various colors, who quickly adapted and widely implement Web3 technologies.
Artificial intelligence contributes to the creation of more and more innovative and sophisticated fraud schemes that are actively “capturing” the Moldovan public. The most recent fraud scheme with virtual assets, which has also spread in Moldova, is the so-called TUX platform. The estimated losses of its participants are estimated at about 48 million euros.
