
The first is a wastewater treatment plant with a new automated operation system. The project includes the construction of a new biological treatment unit, which doubles the capacity of the plant to 5,000 m3/day, two sludge treatment sites, 10.4 km of new sewerage networks in the Causeni Vechi sector and 3 pumping stations for wastewater transfer.
The project is not only for 16 thousand inhabitants of Causeni town. The system can be extended to 27 other settlements of the district, which will provide access to sewerage services for more than 81 thousand citizens.
The second project is aimed at improving the functionality of the wastewater treatment plant by extending the sewerage network and regionalizing the service. It involved the construction of 21.9 km of new sewerage networks and four pumping stations.
As a result, 7,600 residents of Keushan have access to improved sanitation services. At the same time, the newly created infrastructure allows the system to be expanded to 48 settlements in Keushan and 26 in Stefan-Voda districts.
