As reports Anadolu news agency reports that the first Turkish satellite is made of more than 80 percent local parts. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized this in his speech at the official commissioning ceremony of the satellite. “With this revolutionary project, Turkey now has a national satellite communications platform,” he announced.
The launch of Turkey’s first communications satellite will help increase the reach of Turkish satellites from 3.5 billion to 5 billion people.
In addition, Turkish authorities are confident that the commissioning of Türksat 6A will allow the country to significantly increase exports of satellite services in the region and enhance Turkey’s role as a supplier of advanced technologies.
