The project involves the commissioning of two specialized stations at the Vehicle Surveillance Center, which allow real-time analysis of the images obtained during the vehicle scanning process. Thanks to this, in addition to the control performed at the station, the images are additionally checked by operators who compare the scan data with the information available in institutional systems and with the results of risk analysis.
This approach provides an additional level of security and accuracy in customs control, contributing to faster detection of potential discrepancies and reducing risks associated with fraud and smuggling attempts, the CU information emphasizes.
At the same time, this mechanism allows for a more rapid response in risky situations, including when discrepancies between declared data and actual cargo contents are detected.
In the future, the system will be extended to all customs points, equipped with scanners and integrated into a modern control concept based on the use of information technology, data analysis and real-time monitoring.
Customs officers will carry out remote control while utilizing scanning and video surveillance images and data generated by the institution’s information systems.
Through this initiative, the Customs Service is strengthening an intelligent control model focused on efficiency, responsiveness, and the facilitation of legitimate and predictable trade.
