Completion of cooperation occurred by mutual consent of the parties. This is reported in an official press release issued by the press service of Milsami. The club thanked the specialist for his hard work, involvement in the work and important contribution to winning the title of Moldovan champions last year.

The team is going to Turkey for the pre-season training camp. It has not been announced yet who will lead the team. The press service of Milsami announced to inform about further actions of the club in the official accounts in social networks.

Logos Press with reference to scor.md in early January reported about the possible departure of Igor Pikuschak from “Milsami”. The impending event was linked to financial problems, which appeared after the club’s president Ilan Shor’s statement about the withdrawal of all projects in Moldova. In a comment for the same portal, the 42-year-old coach called this version “rumors” and said that “the club has opportunities”.

Igor Picuszczak took charge of Milsami in May 2024 and led the club to the first Moldovan champions trophy in 10 years. In June last year it was announced about the extension of the contract with the specialist for one season. Pikuschak’s record also includes work in the coaching staffs of Krasnodar-2, Akron (both in Russia), Noah (Armenia), Akzhaiyk and Turan (both in Kazakhstan). He won the Armenian Football Cup and Super Cup while working with Noah.

Prior to his coaching career, Pikuschak was a professional footballer, he is a pupil of SDYUSHOR No. 4 (Tiraspol). In 2008-2015, he was called up to the national team of Moldova.

“Milsami” is financed by the former mayor of Orhei Ilan Sor since 2010. The annual budget is about €500 thousand, which is the fourth in the Super League after “Sheriff”, “Zimbru” and “Petrocub”. In recent years, the budget is provided by the performance in European competitions. As a result of performance in the first rounds of European competitions this season, the club earned € 1.3 million. Also, along with other clubs in Super League and Ligue 1, “Milsami” receives solidarity payments from UEFA for failure to qualify for the group stages of European competitions. This year a transfer of €390k is expected.

The Orhei club finished the first phase of the Super League in fourth place, 11 points behind Petrocub. The Red Eagles will start the second phase of the championship with 10 points from the first phase. In the first match of the spring part of the Moldovan championship “Milsami” will host “Zimbru”.
