The total value of the selected projects, included in the program of improvement, is over 1.7 billion lei, which, according to the proposal of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, will be allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
This decision was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on 26 November, extending the “European Yard” program. Thus, a total of 469 projects will be implemented, although earlier the Single Program Document included 89 projects. Currently, 57 projects for the improvement of the capital’s yards are being implemented, another 32 are in the process of launching.
Each “European yard” is allocated up to 5 million lei for the repair of access roads and staircases, modern street lighting, parking lots, playgrounds, urban furniture.
“Today we will visit 39 courtyards where major repairs have not been carried out for decades, and now we are finally starting them. We are changing people’s lives, and every investment of the government means our responsible attitude to the communities of citizens and improvement of their living standards,” said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolya.
Also, the Single Program Document was supplemented with four local development projects: extension of water supply and construction of sewerage system in the village of Gauzeni, district of Soldanesti; rehabilitation and modernization of water supply in the village of Cosernica, district of Criuleni; support to the Volunteer Network for Emergency Response in the village of Sirec, district of Straseni and construction of a new artesian well in the commune of Dobrusca, district of Soldanesti.
