
Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolii Nosatii and National Army Commander Vitalii Micov demonstrated to German Ambassador to Chisinau Hubert Knirsch the equipment received from Germany. As well as the modernization of the services of the Ministry of Defense carried out within the framework of the same project.
In particular, the work was carried out to renovate the offices, modernize the electricity and communication networks, install security systems and equip them with high-performance IT equipment.
The defense minister thanked the German government for its contribution to the implementation of the two projects, as well as for its continued support in the efforts to modernize the institution.
Earlier, Anatol Usatii said that, based on Brussels’ decisions, the Moldovan armed forces will receive equipment and training worth 47 million euros within the European Peace Facility. The package envisages the purchase of logistics and transportation equipment, including 33 “highly mobile tactical vehicles” for three infantry brigades of the National Army, as well as systems for the tactical anti-aircraft regiment of the National Army, including “unmanned aerial reconnaissance systems” and “tactical communication equipment”.
