Financial sources

Funds for grant support to SMEs are provided from the state budget, from the European Union funds within the Reform Program. As well as from development partners – the World Bank Group, the Strong Businesses and Municipalities for Moldova (SBC) project – “Enhancing the Energy Sustainability of SMEs in the Republic of Moldova”, implemented by GIZ and ODA with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Swiss Government.

In this context, ODA encourages entrepreneurs to apply for participation in the programs and instruments it manages.

During 2025, 810 investment projects worth MDL 346.4 million were approved through the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurship. This support ensured the planned investments of more than 652.83 million lei in the national economy.

Of the total number of beneficiaries, 534 projects were financed from the state budget, 158 received support from the EU under the project “European Union for Small and Medium Enterprises”, and 111 projects under the program financed by the Government and the World Bank Group.

At the same time, seven companies are supported under the program “EU4Moldova: Local Communities”, financed by the European Union, the governments of Germany, Austria and Poland and implemented in Moldova by the organizations GIZ, ADA and SFPL.
