This was announced by the leadership of the National Social Insurance Fund (CNSS), noting that the indexation coefficient is applied only to the part of the pension that does not exceed the average monthly salary of 16.1 thousand lei.
After the indexation, the size of the minimum retirement pension for people with full length of service will rise to 3,055 lei, while the average pension in the country will amount to 4,407 lei.
The size of the minimum disability pension will vary from 1,527.8 to 2,291.7 lei, depending on the category assigned.
Also from April 1, the daily allowances for children without parental care and placed in foster families will be indexed by 7 per cent.
Indexation of pensions and increase of allowances is carried out by the NKSS in accordance with the established procedure, without submission of citizens’ applications. The money will be transferred to the recipient’s social card, and in its absence it can be received at any post office in the country. All pensions and social benefits will begin to be paid through banking institutions from April 2.
A total of 753,687 people will benefit from indexation in 2025.
