The Moldovan national team has eight gold, 17 silver and 18 bronze medals. The European champion among adults became Daniel Procopciuc (75 kg, right and left hands). The silver medal was won by Marina Iordaki (80 kg, left hand), and Tiberius Turcan won the bronze medal (65 kg, right hand).
In the para-armwrestling tournament, the European champions were Anton Naku (60 kg), Vladimir Butucha (100 kg), who also won silver medals in the other arm competition, and Jaroslav Bukil (85 kg). Gheorghe Strzescu (65 kg) and Vadim Kornitsel (70 kg) won both silver and bronze medals. Victor Lungu and Nicolae Ticaliuc became silver medalists, and Vasili Verstiak (60 kg) – bronze.
The overwhelming part of medals was won in competitions among juniors and youth. Gabriel Sarakutse (60 kg, right hand) and Tiberius Turkan (65 kg, right and left hand) became European champions in the under-21 age categories.
Some athletes won multiple medals competing in different arms. Alexei Shipilov (90 kg) won gold and silver medals, Irina Moisova (55 kg) became European champion and bronze medalist, Sofia Gnatiuc and Tudor Bolbochan became vice-champions and bronze medalists.
Silver medalists were Mihai Seu, Mihai Ostaci, Dragos Druta, bronze medalists were Alina Iordaki, Cyril Gojan, Sergiu Lupei, Daniel Curea, Walter Basco and Dimitri Bulat.
Moldova was represented at the tournament by 62 athletes, 11 of them in para-armwrestling, taking the fourth place in the team standings. The European Championship was attended by 1.100 athletes from 34 countries.
