Nostradamus
The prophecies of the 16th century French astrologer Michel de Nostredamus, known as Nostradamus, have once again become the center of attention amid growing tensions in world politics, the Daily Mail reports. His famous book “Les Propheties” (TheProphecies), published back in 1555, is once again being actively discussed in the media and social networks.
Proponents of mystical theories are sure that some of the cathedrals may refer to events taking place in 2026. Of particular interest was catrenes I:26, which reads, “A huge swarm of bees will appear… an ambush at night…”.
According to some interpreters, the “swarm of bees” image may symbolize modern drones, which are increasingly being used in military conflicts. The nighttime drone attacks that have become a feature of modern warfare, they believe, may echo this description.
Another oft-quoted fragment from the Prophecies speaks of “seven months of great war” during which “men will perish from evil.” Nostradamus’ followers believe this could be a hint of a prolonged military conflict that could seriously affect world security.
There is just as much discussion about another catrena: “When Mars reigns among the stars, human blood will sprinkle the sanctuary. Three fires will rise on the eastern side, and the western side will sink into silence.” Since Mars was considered the god of war in Roman mythology, some interpreters see these lines as a warning of a possible increase in military clashes.
However, most historians and researchers treat such interpretations with caution. They note that Nostradamus’ katrines are written in extremely figurative and vague language, which allows for many interpretations.
Despite the skepticism of the scientific community, interest in the prophecies of Nostradamus has not waned for more than four centuries. Each new crisis or conflict makes people turn to the mysterious lines of the XVI century in an attempt to find answers to questions about the future.
