Initially, Samsung released the Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone as a demonstration of the innovativeness of its technology and did not count on the success of the model in the mass market. The semiconductor crisis, which led to a significant rise in the price of key components of the device, also influenced the decision. The corporation recognized that in these circumstances, the most optimal is the decision to cease production of the smartphone, which will allow them to focus on other, much more successful models.
According to unofficial data disseminated by experts in the field of technology, for three months since the release to the market “Samsung” was able to realize only a few thousand smartphones.
Overly conceptualized
The Galaxy Z TriFold is the first in Samsung’s lineup of three-part foldable smartphones with a 10-inch display (when fully unfolded), an advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 200MP camera.
The developers of the model pursued the goal of creating a device that fits in your pocket like a regular smartphone, but turns into a full-fledged tablet when needed. Apparently, users found this solution too conceptual.
