As noted in the STS, the agency is taking measures to combat undeclared income. They are aimed at monitoring taxpayers’ compliance with the requirements for issuing checks for cash payments and availability of documents on the origin of goods offered for sale.
For this purpose, the STS carried out 627 operational inspections in July, which resulted in 408 cases of violations of the law.
As in the previous months, the lion’s share of fines fell on trade. Their total amount amounted to 939 thousand lei. At the same time, out of 260 operational controls, violations were detected in 204 cases.
As compared to the previous months, the degree of undeclared incomes in the field of road passenger transportation has slightly decreased, but remains high. There, violations were detected in every second case, and the amount of sanctions reached 197 thousand lei.
The level of violations also remains high in online trade, where, as a result of 60 inspections, tax inspectors found 38 violations of the tax legislation and issued fines worth 63 thousand lei.
According to the STS report, in August, its employees intend to continue operative inspections at retail trade enterprises, including online platforms, in the sphere of leisure and HoReCa, as well as passenger road transportation.
In addition, operational tax audits will be conducted based on the results of consideration of petitions, appeals, complaints, information from the media, etc. in respect of taxpayers whose activities involve risks of non-compliance with tax legislation.
