Postal market revenues up by a third

In Moldova, total revenues generated on the postal services market amounted to 638.2 million lei in 2024, an increase of 35.4%.

According to the National Agency for Regulation of Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), the total mail traffic decreased by 5.6% to 43 million mail pieces.

This reduction was due to a decrease in domestic traffic (-13.5%), as well as in the volume of international mail (- 66.7%).

The main growth was provided by the received international traffic – 11 million mail items (+44.2%). Its revenues increased by 56% – up to 309 million lei.

Posta Moldovei” remains the market leader with a traffic share of 87.7%. Despite a 13% decrease in the volume of shipments, the revenues of this company grew by 13.9%, from 246.8 million to 281 million lei.

The second place is held by New Post International MLD, which increased both volumes (by 218.3%) and revenues (by 120% – up to 154.5 million lei).

The third place went to Sergiu Pluș Nicolae company: its turnover increased by 20% and its profit increased to 78.6 million lei.

According to ANRCETI, in 2024, the postal services market revenues increased by 35.4% due to the reorientation of demand to more profitable services – international parcels and special items. Classic correspondence (both domestic and international), continued to decline in overall postal logistics.
