
Passenger turnover rose, cargo turnover fell
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, public transportation enterprises transported 333 million passengers, which is 8.3% more than in 2024. The increase was due to the growth of transportation by air (+37.3%), trolleybus (+8.4%), automobile (+7.9%) and river (+2.3%) transport.
At the same time, the number of passengers transported by rail decreased by 51.4%; passenger turnover by this mode of transportation amounted to 34.3 million passenger-km, which is 32.8% less than in the previous year.
The volume of cargo transportation by all types of transport amounted to 20.2 million tons and remained at the level of 2024.
Growth was recorded in river (+1.3%) and railway (+0.8%) transportation, while air (-40.3%) and road (-3.2%) transportation showed a decrease.
Cargo turnover amounted to 5,794.2 million ton-km, which is 2.9% less compared to 2024.
