According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), in the first month of this year, 447,127 passengers used flights to/from Chisinau International Airport.
A total of 3,361 flights were registered during this period. This is +27.9% more compared to January 2025 (2,628).
However, the punctuality of flights at the airport of the capital of Moldova leaves much to be desired. Timely arrivals accounted for only 68.3% of 1,838 flights, and on-time departures – 69.7% of 1,826.
As emphasized by the OSA, the positive dynamics at the beginning of the year remains, which confirms the growing interest in the Chisinau International Airport.
The most popular destinations
Paris and Bucharest showed the highest percentage of passenger traffic growth compared to January 2025.
However, the leaders in terms of passenger numbers were flights to Istanbul and Sharm el-Sheikh.
