Socialists draw attention to “three failures of the ministry under the leadership of Natalia Plougarou: the demographic crisis, which the ministry ignores, the growing poverty, and the denial of compensation to citizens when they needed it most.”
“More than 180 thousand families have been denied compensation,” said MP Alla Ursu-Antoch. – The Ministry of Social Protection has turned into the Ministry of Poverty Protection”.
The PSRM faction believes that of the seven social promises announced by the government, none has been fulfilled and insists on the minister’s resignation.
Earlier, similar procedures were conducted against Agriculture and Food Minister Ludmila Catlabuga and Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu. Both proved unsuccessful.
Also today, Deputy Speaker Vlad Batrincea demanded to hear the prime minister on the issue of raising the VAT for the HoReCa sector to 18%. In his opinion, raising VAT to 18% “would be a heavy blow to the sector, which has already been seriously affected by the economic crises of recent years and which contributes significantly to the state budget and job preservation”. The PAS majority rejected the initiative.
It should be noted that according to the Rules of Parliament, the discussion of the draft vote of no confidence must take place within a maximum of 14 working days from the date of its submission.
