
These funds will mainly be used to purchase equipment and optimise production processes.
The assistance is provided through two channels. The Moldovan government allocated 36.45 million lei to 57 companies. The European Union has supported another 44 companies with 10.61 million lei as part of the ‘European Union for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises’ project.
In addition, four companies received grants totalling 1.5 million lei as part of the Small Producers Support Programme, which is part of the ‘EU4Moldova: Local Communities’ programme. It is funded by the EU, the governments of Germany, Austria and Poland, and implemented by GIZ Moldova, ADA and SFPL.
Currently, the beneficiary companies employ about 1,700 people, and the grants will create another 700 new jobs.
A total of 405 companies received ODA grants in 2025. The total amount of aid was 170 million lei. Of the total number of beneficiaries, 267 companies were financed from the state budget, 134 received aid from the EU and another 4 companies from World Bank Group funds.
