Large deals reinforce the upward trend in prices. Thus, Dangote (Nigeria) sold 30 th. tons of urea with shipment in April at $700/t FOB. Egyptian producers sold more than 30,000 tons at $710-720/t FOB since the end of last week.
In the US, barge shipments in New Orleans settled above $645 per short ton (equivalent to over $700/t CFR), with bids for full shipments with delivery in April forming slightly below that level. In Europe, however, warehouse prices rose by about €40/t, with quotes in La Pallis reaching €700/t FCA (about $760/t), ukragroconsult wrote.
Limited supply is also supporting ammonium sulphate prices, while demand is concentrated on spot purchases due to high market volatility.
